Mike W. Chase passed away on June 28, 2014, at the age of 72 in Indio, Calif. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., and raised in Pendleton, Ore., by parents Mac and Mary Chase, Mike graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1959 with close friends, with whom he made many fond memories over the next fifty years.
Mike served in the Navy following high school and at the age of 21, with one year of sales experience, became a district manager for Farmers insurance Group in Oregon. He dedicated his 48-year career to making many friends within the great Farmers family. After a successful career, which included mentoring many insurance agents and managers, Mike retired in 2010.
A member of the Bend Golf and Country Club in Bend, Oregon, Mike especially enjoyed
Thursday nights with the guys. He was also a member of Rancho La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, Calif. In addition to his passion for golf, Mike also liked to hunt, fish and travel. He and wife Linda, frequently with good friends, had many adventures traveling throughout the U.S. with occasional trips out of the country.
Mike was a survivor and remained strong and determined even after many challenging health issues over the past ten years. His life was an example of perseverance and generosity; he was always there if you needed a friend. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his wife, family and friends.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Linda Chase, and children Troy Chase, Debbie Chase, Christine Marsh, David Havill and Lynnette Sanders. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
