PENDLETON Ina Matilda Moon-Kuns-Gregerson, 93, of Pendleton died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 in the Burns Mortuary Chapel in Pendleton, with burial following at Skyview Memorial Park. Everyone is invited to join the family following the service for a potluck celebration of life at noon at the Senior Center, 510 S.W. 10th St., in Pendleton.
Mrs. Gregerson was born Jan. 5, 1917, in Pendleton to Cecil Conrad Bowman and Sarah (Alice) Rambo Bowman. She grew up in Weiser, Idaho, and Umapine. She married Ralph K. Moon in Walla Walla in 1935. They lived in Milton-Freewater from 1935 to 1959, where they raised five children, and she worked in processing of fruits and vegetables.
The family moved to Pendleton in 1959. She worked a year at St. Anthony Hospital as a nurses aide before entering the nursing program at Blue Mountain Community College, graduating in 1963 as an LPN. She worked at St. Anthony Hospital until her retirement in 1980.
After Ralphs death in 1969 she married Kenny Kuns in Reno, Nev. After Kennys death she married Robert Gregerson in Elko, Nev., in 1998.
Mrs. Gregerson is survived by daughter Peggy Bunch of Grass Valley, Calif.; sons Ronald of Spring Creek, Nev., Darrel Moon of Milton-Freewater and Thomas Moon of Pendleton; sister Lorraine Bledsoe of Weston; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Leonard, Alvin and Virgil Bowman; sisters Vernice Seeliger, Merle Woodward, Iva Stockard, Lila Hammersly and Velma Thornberg; husbands Ralph K. Moon, Emmet (Kenny) Kuns and Robert Gregerson; and son Keith Duane Moon.
