Ronald Burden, 54, of Pendleton died November 23, 2011, at St. Anthony Hospital after a brave battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop.

Mr. Burden was born March 19, 1957, in Fresno, California, to William and Arlene (Beckwith) Burden. He graduated high school in Klamath County, Oregon.

On June 10, 1978, he married Kelle Falvey in Merrill, Oregon. In 1984, he moved to Pendleton from Klamath County. He worked as a truck driver since he was 19.

He enjoyed time with his family and was considered by his family to be an amateur movie critic.

He is survived by his best friend, soul mate, and wife, Kelle Burden of Pendleton; sons Bill and his wife, Jaki Burden of Stanfield, and Mark Burden of Hillsboro; daughter and fiancé Emily Burden and Tom McGuire of Lincoln City; mother Arlene Burden of Fresno, Calif.; brothers Wayne Burden of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Lester Burden of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters Irene Brant of Fresno, Calif., and Carolyn Brant of Fresno, Calif.; grandsons Ethan Burden of Stanfield and Isaac Burden of Stanfield; and granddaughter Shaelynn Boyd of Stanfield. He was preceded in death by his father William Burden and a brother Garry Burden.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Cancer Center in Walla Walla, Wash., in care of Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop, 131 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton, OR 97801.
