HERMISTON — Former Union resident Treshia E. Conrad, 104, of Hermiston died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Sun Terrace Assisted Living in Hermiston. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. at Cove Methodist Church. Interment will be at Cove Cemetery.

Mrs. Conrad was born Dec. 29, 1906, in Malta, Idaho, to Roy and Ethel Irene (Rice) Emigh. She attended Burley High School in 1923 and Eugene High School in 1924 and 1925. She graduated from Normal Training School in Monmouth, earning her Oregon State Teacher’s Certificate in 1926. Later that year she married Thomas Eugene Conrad.

She was a teacher, seamstress and homemaker. She lived in many places throughout her life, including Burley, Idaho; Eugene, Monmouth, La Grande, Cove, Union and Hermiston.

Surviving are daughters Patricia Templeton of Hermiston and Valgene Standley of La Grande; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 great- great-grandchildren; two great- great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ethel; sisters Martha Knapp and Frances Bartron; brothers Les Emigh, Bill Emigh and Thomas Douglas Emigh; and daughter Adarene Ogden.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or the National Breast Cancer Foundation (www.nationalbreastcancer.org).

Loveland Funeral Chapel of La Grande is in charge of the arrangements.
