I was glad to see your article on cameras for "our" River Parkway in Pendleton.

I recently talked to Donnie Cook (superintendent of city parks and recreation) about the continued vandalism my wife and I have observed on our lovely parkway.

Mr. Cook wrote me a detailed letter of the cameras they would like to install on the parkway to help control vandalism and make walking safer. He also stated that it was estimated to cost approximately $3,000 per camera.

I enjoying walking and talking with our riverwalk users and am mailing my check for $3,000 to Mr. Cook today.

I am certain parks and recreation would welcome any donation for this project to help maintain our riverwalk.
