Wow! We did it again - another successful St. Patrick's celebration. The weather even held back a little to help us out. I'm sure we all wish we had a few days to rest up, but it is important to make each individual and group who had a part in this year's St. Patrick's event realize how important your role is to the overall success. Heppner is known for their volunteers and as part of the St. Patrick's committee, I just want to say thank you for doing your part!

There were several fundraisers going on to increase funds for future St. Patrick's celebrations and although we don't know what the totals are yet (be watching next week's paper) we know it was successful because of the generosity of the community and those out-of-town guests. We will publish the final numbers once we have them!

Thanks again, Heppner community, for all you did to make this year's St. Patrick's event a success - it wouldn't have been the same without you! I look forward to making our 28th celebration even better! There's always room for volunteers!
