Kudos to Karen Webb from Athena (EO, Oct. 19, 2008). We kinda have the same problem here in Stanfield. I live here in this wonderful little town. I am disappointed in some of the residents that park in the Post Office parking lot.

There are nine parking slots, including one handicapped slot. Some people come and pick up their mail and sit in their vehicles and read it while the rest have to find a spot out in the side street to park. One of our popular businesses here has a vehicle and parks in the painted lines marked for wheelchair access only. One gentleman parked his pickup with a trailer in the handicapped and also two parking slots just to go in and get his mail. I mentioned the fact to him that he should park out in the side street so as to not take up the handicapped and two other slots. Well, needless to say, I got told to mind my own business. The person was told, "It is very much my business," and to not continue this practice.

Anyway, let's have a little compassion out there. After all, the voting season is just about over. Thank the Lord.
