I want to commend Kathy Aney for her fine article on two wonderful people, Alice and Don Fossatti.

Don Fossatti was my father's coach at Athena High School in the 1930s. Coach Fossatti was to my father what Coach Don Requa was to generations of Pendleton High School football players. Dad often told his sons that Coach Fossatti was the best coach and teacher he ever had.

What Don Fossatti taught my father about athletic competition and succeeding in life has been passed through three generations of Hansells. Thank you, Coach Fossatti, and congratulations to you and Alice for 70 years of marriage. Job well done.
