It is time to vote, and I am writing to urge you to remember to vote, and to ask you to vote yes on the Pendleton School District local option levy renewal.

Because this is a renewal, it does not represent any increase in tax rate to you. What it does represent is over $450,000 that stays in the district and allows the district to support teachers and programs that are crucial to the education of our children. Loss of this revenue would likely result in reduction in teachers or programs or both. As a parent and a business owner, I feel that this would be a big step backward for our school district. I don’t think, as a society, that we can afford not to fund our schools to the best of our ability.

Everyone should have their ballot already. Please take a moment to vote. The local option levy is listed on the back of the last page. Remember, there is no increase in taxes to you if this levy passes. Please consider supporting your local schools with a yes vote.
