The board of directors of the Arts Council of Pendleton and the staff of the Pendleton Center for the Arts are both proud and humbled to receive this year’s tourism excellence award from the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce.

Being part of a thriving downtown cultural tourism community is a privilege, and we are continually amazed at the good work being done by so many artists, craftspeople, musicians, restaurateurs and other creative thinkers throughout the city. It makes it easy to toot the horn of the area attractions when they are so distinctive and of high quality.

Seeing Pendleton through the eyes of the tourists we visit with every day makes us feel even prouder of where we live. We’re just pleased that we get to be a part of it.
