Editorial cartoonsoffend Catholics
This letter is in regard to recent cartoons in the East Oregonian. I speak not only for myself, but others who found them offensive.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to get the implied message. If the cartoonist had targeted any other faith or Christian denomination as he did the Catholics, it would have been just as offensive.
The East Oregonian just received prestigious awards for good reporting. Too bad you allow these types of messages in your paper. You have the freedom to publish it and your subscribers have the freedom to cancel their subscriptions.
The East Oregonian welcomes letters for publication on topics of local interest. Submitted letters must be signed by the author and include city of residence and a daytime phone number. The phone number will not be published. Unsigned letters will not be published.
? Be as to-the-point as possible.
