The May 22 cleanup of the Pendleton River Parkway was a great success because of terrific support from volunteers and sponsors.

The Pendleton Rotary Club, the Roundup Association, the Umatilla Basin Watershed Council, Arts Council of Pendleton, the East Oregonian, Umatilla County Juvenile Services and about 15 other volunteers cleaned the Parkway.

West Rentals provided a trailer to pick up the trash and Pendleton Sanitary Service took the trash free of charge on Saturday so that it did not have to sit on the Parkway over the weekend. Helpers from U.S. Bank cooked a delicious lunch for all of the volunteers. Everyone contributed to a great day.
