Director of grants, Blue Mountain Community College.

What's the best thing about your work?

The challenge of doing new things and the people I work with.

Who is the historical figure you most admire?

Winston Churchill.

The living person you most admire?

Yogi Berra.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Being part of Operation Desert Storm.

What is the most difficult challenge in your life these days?

Getting up every morning at 5:00 to make it to work on time.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Work on upkeep of our place and read.

What type of electronic equipment do you carry around with you?

A simple, flip style flip phone.

If you had to live in another country for a year, where would you go?

England — we spent three years there as an exchange officer with the British Army and loved it

If you could change one thing in your community, what would that be?

No more abandoned or abused pets.

What is at the top of your bucket list?

I don’t have one.

“City of Fortune” — a history of the rise and fall of Venice as a commercial and military sea power.

What is your most prized possession?

A Howard Post painting.

What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you?

Filming a segment for the David Letterman Show at the Sisters Rodeo.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Sleeping in on the weekend.

I was trained not to volunteer information.
