I am writing to express my support for Don Russell and ask you to vote for him for Port of Morrow Commission.

Don, a lifelong resident and longtime businessman in Boardman, graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in accounting. After college, Don became a licensed CPA while working for an accounting firm.

Three years after graduating from college, Don returned to Boardman to work in the family business, Russell Oil Co. Two years later Don purchased Russell Oil.

In the 17 years Don owned the business, he expanded it from one service station and a wholesale jobber to five gas stations/mini-marts while also increasing the wholesale business.

In 2001, Don sold Russell Oil to Devin Oil to pursue other business interests. Don currently owns a car wash in Boardman, Pendleton and Bend; a gas station/car wash in Pendleton; and a commercial office/retail complex in Reno, Nevada and Overland Park, Kan.

Don has served on many boards and commissions from the National Jobber Council for his business to Morrow County Planning Commission, to the Mental Health District, Port Budget Committee and Boardman Fire District, just to name a few.

Don's educational and business background, and his experiences from serving on national and local boards and commissions, make him the most qualified to be your next Port of Morrow Commissioner for Position 1.

Please join me in voting for Don Russell.
