PENDLETON - Adams resident Carlie S. Gross, 80, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Mission Assembly of God Church on Shortmile Road in Mission. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park in Pendleton. Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gross was born on Jan. 19, 1927, in Minot, N. D. to Charles and Reba (Melvis) Nichols. She married Clarence A. Gross in 1947 in Tacoma, Wash.

She moved to the Pendleton area in 1958. She was a member of the Mission Assembly of God for many years, where she worked in Missionettes and did children's crusades.

Mrs. Gross is survived by her husband Clarence Gross in Adams; son David Lee Gross of Echo; and brother Lyle Nichols of Edmonds, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Morris, Marcus, Gifford, Larry, Clive and Clovis Nichols; and sisters Evelyn Tepit and Sibyl Liebelt.
