FOSSIL - A graveside service for Darrell F. Kloak Sr., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the IOOF Cemetery in Fossil.

Mr. Kloak, 71, of Fossil, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Mountain View Hospital in Madras.

He was born Oct. 21, 1932, at Windling, to Adrian Kloak Sr. and Eleonora Hansen. He grew up at Windling and attended school there. When he was 14, the family moved to Eugene where he graduated from high school.

On Aug. 5, 1955, he married Gladys W. Adams at Eugene.

He was employed as a grocer for most of his life.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and was a devoted Christian.

Survivors include his wife, at the home; daughters, Eva Cronin of Springfield, Patty Lunsford of Fossil and Sandra Stevens of Lafayette; sons, Gerald of Oregon City and Darrell Jr. of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren; brothers, Adrian Kloak Jr. of Tillamook and Bobby Kloak of Springfield; and sisters, Edna Nichols of Onalaska, Wash., and Ruth Erwick of Tenino, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spray Assembly of God Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 127, Spray, OR 97874, or to a charity of choice.
