Mac-Hi officials Friday rejected a formal, in-house discrimination complaint that alleged equal opportunity was lacking in girls? and boys? sports programs. The complaint was filed with the McLoughlin Union High School district by Jack and Chris Wallace, the parent of a girl cut from the basketball team, and was answered by Athletic Director Bill DeLong. The Wallaces alleged nine girls were cut from the team to maintain an acceptable coach-player ratio, while personnel was added to the football coaching staff to bring about the same 10-1 ratio.
