The Commercial club of Echo has just issued a 20-page booklet descriptive of that town and surrounding country which contains a lot of valuable information. The booklet is profusely illustrated with farm and home scenes of that vicinity and will be sent east in large numbers.

Gerry G. Schaefer of Pendleton, a senior at Oregon State College, has been named winner of a full-tuition scholarship for the coming school year. A 1954 graduate of Pendleton high school , Miss Schaefer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer of Pendleton.

Charlotte Hinton, Milton-Freewater, has added two firsts to her 4-H record. She's nominated to receive a new beef achievement award and has been named one of the first Oregon 4-H ambassadors, said extension agent Charlene Hadden.
