While sheep shearing has been in progress in Umatilla county for some time, yet comparatively little of the wool clip has been brought to this city. The total amount of wool in the Furnish warehouse today is 227,745 pounds, or a little more than one-fourth of what is expected during the season. Only two or three clips are all in, among those being Frank Sherman, 12 sacks, Henderson and Sons, 44 sacks, and J.M. Hemphill, 13 sacks. Out of a total of 50 sheepmen who will haul wool to the Furnish warehouse during the season, only 16 are now represented in the wool now stored there.
