ADAMS - Dorothy Miles Sheoships, 84, of Adams, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton.

Recitation of the Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton. A graveside service will be held at St. Andrews Cemetery near Mission on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Mrs. Sheoships was born May 27, 1918, at Fort Defiance, Ariz., to James and Dorothy Motanic Miles. She lived in Umatilla County for most of her life.

She enjoyed camping, traveling, and the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox baseball teams.

Survivors include sons, Leon Sheoships of Adams, and Emmett Sheoships of Pendleton; daughters, Anna Sheoships, June Sheoships, and Erma Sheoships, all of Pendleton; Bernadine Sheoships of Topeka, Kan.; Harriett Bott of Athena, and Alma Sheoships and Alva Sheoships, both of Adams; a sister, Anna Halfmoon of Cooley Dam, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
