Pendleton - Ernest P. Smythe, 41, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at St. Anthony Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cascade Room at St. Anthony Hospital.

Mr. Smythe was born Sept. 8, 1965, in Sacramento, Calif., to Donald Ray and Bonnie B. Steingasser Smythe. He was raised in the Pendleton/Hermiston area.

He worked in management at Fleetwood Travel Trailers of Oregon.

On Sept. 24, 2000, he married his wife, Deborah, at the Umatilla Army Depot.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and his membership in the Spokesman's Club.

He is survived by his wife; son Alexander Smythe of Pendleton; daughters Bonnie Smythe of Washington, and Stephanie Smythe of Oregon; brother Bret Earl Smythe of Oregon; sister Melissa Borgess of California; a grandson; three nephews; and three nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ernest Smythe Memorial Fund in care of Bank of America.

Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
