SPOKANE - Esther Ella Leslie died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. She was 86.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the Hermiston Nazarene Church. At her request, a private burial will be held at the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Umatilla.

Mrs. Leslie was born in San Gabriel, Calif. on Jan. 26, 1921 to Wilbur and Anna Fry Troudy. A longtime resident of Umatilla, she was a member of the Hermiston Nazarene Church and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. The Leslies did were active boaters and traveled in their motor home.

She is survived by son Chet Leslie of Kennewick, Wash.; brother Chet Troudy of California; sister Ruth Moyle of Rogue River; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Leslie and sister Viola Crawford.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
