UMATILLA - Francis Rudolph "Frank" Lind, 75, of Umatilla, "The Corndog Man," died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston.

A private family graveside service with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Desert Post 4750 will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Mr. Lind was born April 10, 1929, at Roberts, Wis., to Rudolph Francis and Blanche Jacobs Lind.

A food service concessionaire, he had set up his corndog stand in front of the Pendleton Rite-Aid store during the holiday season for many years. He retired in his early 70s.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dolores, a retired school teacher; son, Bernard, one grandchild, and sisters, Harriet York of Milton-Freewater, and Mary Kemph of Marysville, Wash.; many nieces and nephews.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
