HERMISTON - Fredrick Michael "Rick" Tubbs-Higgins, 37, of Hermiston, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, as the result of a motorcylce accident at Hermiston

A memorial service for Mr. Tubbs-Higgins will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the Hermiston Nazarene Church.

Fredrick Michael "Rick" Tubbs-Higgins was born Dec. 31, 1966 at Pendleton, Oregon to Maurice Thomas Higgins and Freda Mae McWillis Tubbs.

He was raised at Monument and attended high school there.

He was a truck driver who lived at Burns, Oregon for six years before moving to Hermiston five years ago.

On Dec. 14, 2002 he married Rebecca "Beckie" Hanson at Hermiston.

He was a member of A.B.A.T.E., A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments. He attended the Nazarene Church.

Mr. Tubbs-Higgins liked to hunt and fish, but most of all he loved riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Beckie and daughter, Rachael, of Hermiston; his mother, Freda Tubbs of Burns; his stepmother: Gladys Jones of Pendleton; brothers, Robert Joe Wheeler of Dallas, Ga., and LaMar Michael Jones of Pendleton; sisters, Barbara Lee Keener of John Day, Billie Jean Wheeler of Halsey, and Malissa Jones, of La Grande. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Higgins.
