PENDLETON - Harold Alexander Haworth, 90, a life-long resident of Weston and Athena, died Jan. 4, 2008, at the Willowbrook Terrace Care Home. He was 90.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home.

Mr. Haworth was born Sept. 20, 1917, to John and Anna Marie (Johnson) Haworth in Athena. He worked as young man for the Civil Conservation Corps. He married Mildred Carroll in 1977 in Bremerton, Wash. He worked for Farm Chemicals and later for the Johns Ranch until his retirement.

He was a 50-year member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. He loved hunting, fishing and telling stories by the campfire.

Survivors include his wife Mildred of Athena; son Steve Haworth of Milton-Freewater; stepdaughters Jean Forsyth of Athena and Jo Carpenter of Wallace, Idaho; one granddaughter; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters Charlene Gilman and Alice Ann Kraft; and brothers Dave and Don Haworth.
