COOPERSTOWN, N.D. - Hazel J. Iszler, 93, who was a resident of the Stanfield/Hermiston area for 38 years, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, at Elim Nursing Home in Fargo, N.D.

A funeral service for Mrs. Iszler will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Cooperstown Funeral Chapel in Cooperstown, N.D.

She was born May 8, 1911, near Hannaford, N.D. to Edgar and Hanna Herigstad Haaland.

She served with the Women's Army Corps during World War II from February 1943 until October 1945.

On June 16, 1959, she married Floyd Nelson. Mr. Nelson died Feb. 27, 1967 and the then Mrs. Nelson, who was living at Stanfield, went to work at the Umatilla Army Depot where she was employed for 10 years.

On March 31, 1985, she married Theodore Iszler. Mr. Iszler died Dec. 19, 1992, at Hermiston.

Survivors include four nieces, a nephew and six stepchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Nelson and Theodore Iszler, by her parents, by four brothers, by a sister, by a niece, a stepson, and a stepgrandson.
