PENDLETON - A graveside service for Inez M. Gillette will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 12, at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton. Friends may call at Burns Mortuary in Pendleton between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Mrs. Gillette, 96, of Pendleton, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Willowbrook Terrace.

She was born June 4, 1907, at Weston, to Edward L. and Ada E. Bonawitz Withers. She attended Pendleton schools and had lived in the Pendleton area all her life.

On Aug. 20, 1925, she married Claude Gillette.

She was employed at Doc Glenn Pharmacy and at Harold's Pharmacy, retiring in 1990.

Mrs. Gillette liked people and animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed traveling to California every year to visit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, by a sister and a brother.

Survivors include her sons, Claude Gillette and Richard Gillette, both of Pendleton; by nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
