MISSION - The funeral for John Rudolf Rosario will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton with burial to follow at the Agency Cemetery at Mission. Friends may call at Burns Mortuary between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday.

Mr. Rosario, 64, of Mission, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton.

He was born Nov. 25, 1938, at Santa Cruz, Calif., to John and Mary Delaney Rosario.

On Nov. 24, 1993, he and his wife, Debra Rosario, were married.

Mr. Rosario had been a resident of Mission for 12 years. He was employed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation within the Department of Economic and Community Development. He served as manager at Indian Lake in 1988-89 and from 1989 until his death was land project director for the tribes and had been involved in every land purchase the tribes have made since he began his employment. He also was overseer of the management of tribal housing, including Lucky 7 Mobile Home Park.

Survivors include his wife, at the home son, Richard of Portland; stepson, Justin Snider of Pendleton; daughter, Kendall Rosario of Pendleton; and brother, Dennis Rosario of Corbett.

Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics.

Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
