PENDLETON - A memorial graveside service for Joseph Thomas Cribbs will be held at 3 p.m. Friday May 21, at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Mr. Cribbs, 46, a resident of Pendleton, died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Pendleton.

He was born at Glenwood Springs, Colo., on June 23, 1957, to Pearly and Mary Bianco Cribbs.

He had been employed as a mechanic and commercial fisherman in Alaska had worked at farming, logging and helping his neighbors. He had traveled with his parents throughout the Northwest, Weisbaden, Germany, and Japan while his father was in the Air Force.

Mr. Cribbs was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Pendleton.

Survivors include a daughter, Toni Cribbs and grandson, James Q. Cribbs, both of Echo; sisters, Patricia Barton of Umatilla, Debra Kimbro in Indiana and Michelle Hottle of Irrigon. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Cribbs, by his parents. Pearly and Mary Cribbs and by his grandparents, Joe and Edith Cribbs and Thomas and Viola Bianco.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
