PENDLETON - Karen Suzanne Hardman, 63, died Sept. 30, 2007, following a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Molalla Methodist Church with a gathering to follow at Arrowhead Golf Club. A private committal service will be held at Adams Cemetery in Molalla.
She was born Oct. 19, 1943, in Portland to Elton and Evelyn Everhart of Molalla. She graduated from Molalla High School in 1961. In 1966, she graduated from Lewis and Clark College.
Mrs. Hardman was employed by the State of Oregon Children's Services Division. She retired in 2000.
A former resident of Burns and a resident of Pendleton since 2001, Mrs. Hardman was a member of the Umatilla County Historical Society, a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and a volunteer ombudsman for the State of Oregon.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by husband Larry Hardman of Pendleton; stepchildren Sheri Lynn Miller and husband Dylan of Pendleton, Jill Rich and husband Darrell of Prineville, and Lisa Dunnavant and husband Chad of Battleground, Wash.; brother Jon Michael Everheart and wife JoAnn of Clarno; a nephew; a niece; two aunts; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
