HERMISTON - A memorial service for Margaret Martha Herbert will be held at 10 a.m. Friday n the chapel at Burns Mortuary in Hermiston. Disposition was by cremation.

Mrs. Herbert, 85, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Good Samaritan Center in Hermiston

She was born at Steamboat Springs, Colo., on March 20, 1919, to John and Mildred Williams. She was raised at Steamboat Springs and had lived there most of her life. She later moved to Stanfield where she resided for four years. For the past five years she has lived at Plymouth, Wash.

She loved horses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Herbert in 1995, by her parents, and by four brothers.

Survivors include sons, Howard Herbert and John Herbert, both of Plymouth, Wash.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
