PENDLETON - Marie D. Denbeigh died Sunday, July 15, 2007, in a Pendleton care facility. She was 89.

A private memorial service and inurnment will be held at Olney Cemetery.

Mrs. Denbeigh was born May 9, 1918, in Spirit Lake, Idaho, to Samuel and Lixie Lynn Shaw. She was raised in Portland.

She married Clyde Comstock in 1938. They moved to Pendleton in 1958.

Mrs. Denbeigh worked at several nightclubs and lounges in the Pendleton area.

She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by daughter Candice and husband Duane Ripplinger of the Tri-Cities area; sons Bruce and wife Ginger Comstock of Pendleton, Clifford Comstock of Benton City, Wash., and Marc Comstock and his spouse Bill of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in her death by her husbands; parents; a brother; sister and a grandchild.
