PENDLETON - A celebration of life gathering in memory of Nancy Sue Smith will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 1221 S.E. Court, in Pendleton at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Smith, 46, of Pendleton, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at her home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1955, at La Grande, to James Alden and Laurie Ann Helms Breshears. She attended Pendleton High School and then married Leonard Smith in March 1972. The couple divorced in 1984.

Mrs. Smith loved animals and enjoyed her family and life.

Survivors include her children, Brandy and Michael, both of Pendleton, her parents, Richard and Laurie Lyda of Pendleton; sister, Patsy Sabin of Pendleton; brothers, Roy Breshears of Pendleton and David Lyda of Milton-Freewater; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, James Breshears and a brother, Richard James Breshears.

Bishop Funeral Chapel, 131 S.E. Byers, Pendleton, is in charge of arrangements.
