OBITUARY: Alma Ilene 'Jeanne' Beebe

PENDLETON - Alma Ilene "Jeanne" Beebe, 93, of Pendleton died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at her home. A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Pendleton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Beebe was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Irrigon. She married Kenneth Beebe in Walla Walla in 1932.

She worked at the cafeteria at Athena Grade School.

She moved to Hermiston in 1966, where she worked at the Senior Center for many years. She moved to Pendleton in 2001.

She was a member of the Teachers Association, the PTA and several granges.

She enjoyed sewing and took in seamstress work.

Mrs. Beebe is survived by daughters Kaye Woods and Virginia Beebe, both of Pendleton; son Bill Beebe of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters Ardis Carter of Hermiston and Agnes Ayers of Nevada; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; son Keith; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop is in charge of arrangements.
