ALVADORE - Cary Grossmiller, 48, of Alvadore died Saturday, June 20, 2009, of a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 29 at West Lawn Funeral Home in Eugene. Visitation will be held from 9-10:45 a.m. preceding the service. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery in Eugene.
Mr. Grossmiller was born June 2, 1961, in Pendleton to Donald and Betty (Esselstyn) Grossmiller. He was a 1980 graduate of Elmira High School, and attended the Lane Community College diesel mechanic program. He married Jami Hansen in 1986 in Veneta.
He was the owner and operator of Cary Grossmiller Earthmoving, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Jami Grossmiller; father and stepmother Donald and Mary Grossmiller; children Carly and Carson Grossmiller of Alvadore; sisters Nicki Pierce of Portland and Clydie Johnson and Joni Horsfall, both of Milwaukie; brother Kelly Grossmiller of Junction City; and stepbrothers Dwight Esselstyn of Klamath Falls, Doug Esselstyn of Veneta, Brad Esselstyn of Tucson, Ariz., and Todd Esselstyn of Redmond, Wash.
West Lawn Funeral Home of Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
