ALOHA - Charlie F. Ferguson, 56, of Aloha died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9 at the Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 S.E. Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland.
Mr. Ferguson was born Dec. 22, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to Wayne A. Ferguson and Lavelle (Forest) Ferguson. He was raised and received his education in Walla Walla. He was a veteran of the Vietnam era, having joined the Navy in 1972. He served for one year, until he received his discharge in 1973, at the rank of construction mechanic apprentice.
He worked as a laborer in the agriculture industry in Eastern Oregon and later the Hillsboro area.
Survivors include his son, Travis W. Ferguson, and daughter Del Rae M. Ferguson, both of Clackamas; brother John Cohn of Fairview; a niece and nephew; and his former wife, Rosanna Z. Ferguson of Clackamas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the local Disabled American Veterans chapter.
