TIGARD - Former Pendleton resident Dawn Marie Eagle, 40, of Tigard died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at her home. A graveside service was held Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Olney Cemetery, followed by a potluck dinner at the Masonic Hall in Echo.
Ms. Eagle was born May 9, 1969, in Pendleton. She lived in Cayuse, where her father was section foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad. She attended school in Pendleton, and later moved to the Tigard/Beaverton area, where she worked as a litigator for U.S. West in the Portland/Salem area.
She married Humberto Ortiz in 1995, and had two daughters; they divorced in 2002.
Survivors include daughters Eloizza and Cheyanne Ortiz; mother Stella Enright Queen of Echo; brothers Lowell Eagle, formerly of Pendleton, and Chris Scott of Hespera, Calif.; stepbrothers Tate Enright of Pendleton and Loren Queen of Yakima; and stepsister Julie Queen of Yakima.
She was preceded in death by her father; stepfathers Larry Enright and Robert Queen; and both sets of grandparents.
