OBITUARY: Dorothy Beryl Praul

HERMISTON - Dorothy Beryl Praul, 88, of Hermiston died Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at Regency Hermiston Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hermiston. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at Victory Baptist Church in Hermiston. Burial will take place at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clovis, N.M., at a later date.

Mrs. Praul was born March 5, 1921, in Miles City, Mont., to Samuel and Ella (Custard) Owen. She was raised in Louisiana, Mo. She was a resident of Hermiston for the past eight years, and formerly lived in Clovis, N.M., for 12 years and in Pendleton for 18 years.

Survivors include son Mark Seaton of Tenino, Wash.; stepson Allen Praul of Bettendorf, Iowa; daughters Linda Achuff of Hermiston and Terri Marrs of Florence, Colo.; stepdaughter Nancy Gregory of Las Cruces, N.M.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Praul, in 1997; sisters Hazel Smith, Allie Ebersole, and Jessie Knowles; and brothers Archie and Clifford Owen.

Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church in Hermiston or to Lighthouse Mission in Clovis, N.M.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements in Hermiston and Steed-Todd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Clovis.
