OBITUARY: Jeffrey Alan Koorenny


AUBURN, Calif. - Jeffrey Alan Koorenny, 48, of Winnemucca, Nev., died Sunday, June 21, 2009, in a tragic motor vehicle accident near Auburn, Calif. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 700 S.W. Grandview St., College Place, Wash.

Mr. Koorenny was born Sept. 28, 1960, in Walla Walla to Dr. Verne and Glenna Bohlman Koorenny. He attended schools in Pendleton, graduating from Pendleton High School. He also attended Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. While growing up, he loved animals and always had a menagerie of animals. He was a natural athlete, starting with Little League and going on to golf, tennis and bowling.

At the time of his death he was a Wonder Bread distributor in the Winnemucca area.

Mr. Koorenny is survived by his parents in Milton-Freewater; brother Brian of Walla Walla; sister Coleen Berry of Pendleton; five nieces and nephews; and aunts, uncles and numerous cousins and friends.
