PORTLAND - Former Pendleton resident Leata F. Paddock, 85, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, in a Portland care facility. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Pendleton Baptist Church. A private family graveside service also will be held.
Mrs. Paddock was born May 29, 1924, in Wheatland, Wyo., to Arthur and Mildred Bernice (Robbins) Foulk. She was raised in Greybull, Wyo., and graduated from Greybull High School in 1942.
In 1946 she married Benjamin H. Paddock in Greybull. The couple moved to Oregon in 1954 after living in Greybull, Wyo., and Kalispell, Mont.
She worked for Federal Aviation, Plant Pest Control, the U.S. Forest Service and the American Red Cross.
Mrs. Paddock is survived by sons Wayne Paddock of Novi, Mich., and Don Paddock of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Patti Paddock of Portland; brothers Ken, Keith and Klint Foulk; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Ben Paddock.
