COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Marvin Young Steinbruck Jr., 46, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4370 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mr. Steinbruck was born Dec. 29, 1961, in Tribune, Kan., to Dora "Jane" Wall and Marvin Young Steinbruck Sr.
He is remembered as a family-oriented man and a compassionate friend. He also was a prankster and enjoyed making people laugh. He was fond of the outdoors and had a passion for off-road 4-wheeling, with a motto of "the more mud the better." He loved to hunt, fish, and camp and spent his spare time enjoying the woods and mountains. He enjoyed hosting barbecues in all kinds of weather. He loved to tinker and could fix, repair or build almost anything. Though he was not one to show emotion, he was always willing to help someone in need and provide emotional support to friends and family.
Mr. Steinbruck is survived by his wife of 25 years, Debbie; children Joe of Hermiston and Marvin III, Eva and Scott, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers Gene of Tulsa, Okla., and Marty and Joe, both of Lakeview; sisters Marsha of Boardman, Marlene of Westville, Okla., and Mary of Stilwel, Okla.; father Marvin Sr. of Stilwel, Okla.; 10 nieces and three nephews; and a myriad of friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
