HERMISTON - Ola F. Coatney, 78, of Othello, Wash., died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at her son's home in Hermiston, surrounded by her family. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, with dinner to follow, at the Pine Street Baptist Church, 1130 E. Pine St., Othello, Wash.

Mrs. Coatney was born Dec. 25, 1930, in Bois D'Arc, Mo., to Orville and Mary Kile. She was raised and attended school in Bois D'Arc, graduating in 1948. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Eugene Coatney in 1948 in Klamath Falls, and they lived in Brookings for several years before moving to Othello in 1973. She worked as a teller for US Bank in Othello for several years until she retired.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Gene Coatney of Othello, Wash.; sons Larry Coatney of Echo and Gary Coatney of Hermiston; brothers Max Kile and Terry Kile, both of Ash Grove, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Martha White and Wanda Shumaker.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
