OBITUARY: Pete J. Good Lance

Good Lance

BOARDMAN - Pete J. Good Lance, 22, of Warm Springs died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, as the result of a fishing accident near Boardman. A service was held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Agency Long House in Warm Springs. Burial followed at Simnasho Cemetery in Warm Springs.

Mr. Good Lance was born Jan. 19, 1987, in Gresham. He lived in South Dakota and attended school there until the fourth grade, when he moved to Madras. He later went to Chemawa Indian School in Keizer. He then returned to Warm Springs, where he worked and lived. He married Effie Jim in 2008 in Warm Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Effie Good Lance of Warm Springs; son Ivan Garrison Good Lance of Warm Springs; daughter Adison Lakoya Good Lance of Warm Springs; parents Bonnie Good Lance Thomas and Emerson Squiemphen of Warm Springs; brothers Wamblee and Fred Wallulatum, both of Warm Springs; and sisters Ivy and Lutah Wallulatum and Devonna Good Lance, all of Warm Springs.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Good Lance, in 1990.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
