HELIX - Local farmer Paul David Reeder died May 20, 2007. He was 39.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, 604 Main St., in Milton-Freewater.?
Mr. Reeder was born Jan. 29, 1968, in Portland.
He was adopted on March 13, 1968, by his parents Clinton and Karen Reeder. He was raised in Corvallis but spent a great deal of time in Eastern Oregon at his grandparent's ranch outside of Helix and the Durham home in Milton-Freewater.
He attended school in Helix, graduating from Griswold High School in 1986.
He enjoyed football, basketball, scuba diving and snow boarding.In 1978, the Reeder family relocated to the Helix ranch.
Mr. Reeder choose farming as his career and became a partner in the family business. Mr. Reeder served on the Helix School Budget Committee, the Cemetery District and helped establish the Helix Rodeo.
He also served a term as Umatilla County Wheat Grower President. He married Wyndell Duff in August 1994. They later divorced.
Mr. Reeder is survived by his parents, Clinton and Karen Reeder; brother Jeff Reeder; sister Lori Winn; five nephews; grandmother June Durham; and numerous relatives.
