HERMISTON - Pearl Laurine Alexander died Thursday, July 17 at the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Milton-Freewater at the age of 89.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Mrs. Alexander was born June 24, 1914 in Hillsboro to Charles and Cornelia Oliver Freer. She was a resident of Hermiston from 1945 to 1963 and a resident of Portland from 1963 to 1979, at which time she moved back to Hermiston and lived there ever since.

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Alexander. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Brookout of Berryville, Ark.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
