?Pendleton Police received a report Tuesday afternoon that a swarm of bees had taken up residence in a bush in front of the Umatilla County Courthouse clock tower at the corner of Southeast Court Avenue and Southeast Fourth Street. A county employee reported it looked like a ?wall of bees about 20 feet high? when it passed through the courthouse parking lot. Motorists on Southwest Court Street reported what looked like ?bits of paper flying around? in the street at the intersection of Court and Fourth. A local beekeeper arrived to gather the swarm into a hive shortly after the report was made.
?Oregon State Police are looking for man who allude troopers recently. But he likely won?t eluded for long.
OSP tried to pull over a red 1997 Saturn at midnight in the intersection of Highways 332 and 339. The driver took off, ditching the car in an apple orchard before running away.
But Jerrid Herndon, 25, left his wallet on the front seat. He?s also wanted out of Washington for escape warrants.
OSP charged Herndon with attempt to eluded. Other charges are pending.
