Vehicle vandalism

A Pendleton resident reported someone “keyed” her vehicle in the 200 block of North Main Street while she was in church.

Left the vehicle, though

A Boardman resident reported someone broke into his residence in the 100 block of North Main Street and stole keys to a vehicle.

What’d I do for that?

A man called Pendleton police at 11:41 a.m. to report he was getting ready to park at the post office when he was punched in the face “by a guy.”

The caller said he honked his horn as the man was leaving in a Honda, just “to let him know he was waiting.” The Honda’s driver then got out and hit the caller.

Pendleton police caught up to the man and cited him for misdemeanors of fourth-degree assault and harassment.

The right thing the wrong way?

Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint at 1:02 p.m. about a man that shot a dog in the head. The caller said the man would beat his dogs and asked for the sheriff’s office to look into this incident.

A deputy spoke with the man, who reported he killed the dog because it had been attacking calves and other dogs.

Lucky it wasn’t an eye

A  woman reported her nephew was hit with a BB while he was playing in Pioneer Park, 400 N.W. Despain Ave., in Pendleton. She said there was an adult and six children shooting BB guns at the time in the park. The BB didn’t break the skin, she said, but she wanted to talk to an officer.

Now it’s gonna be a cold drive

A man in Boardman called police at 4:32 in the morning after he locked himself out of his car near 68500 Highway and Interstate 84. The man said he didn’t want to wait for a locksmith, and a Boardman officer responded. The vehicle’s owner then broke out a back window to gain entry. And then the man found his keys in his front pocket.

More criminal mischief

Milton-Freewater police took three reports of criminal mischief. A woman called police at 2:48 a.m. to report her tires were slashed in the 100 block of North Columbia Avenue. And then shortly after 10 that morning a officer spotted graffiti on buildings in the 1100 block of South Main St.

Umatilla police recently: cited and released Larry V. Stefani, age, address not provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII); arrested Edwin Charles Saari,  age, address not provided, for DUII and carrying a concealed firearm; arrested Cameron J. Meadows for DUII, reckless driving, carrying a concealed weapon.
