3:01 a.m. - Oregon State Police observed a black Acura Integra stopped alongside eastbound Interstate 84 near milepost 228, partially blocking the right-hand lane. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop and the vehicle’s driver would not yield at low speeds, then sped off at a high rate of speed; the officer terminated the chase due to road conditions. A check of the license plate revealed the vehicle was reported stolen from Richland, Wash. The officer later found the vehicle stuck in a snowbank at the exit 228 eastbound on-ramp, but the driver had fled on foot into the woods and a search turned up nothing.
