3:18 a.m. - A woman called the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office to report someone broke into her car and stole her purse while parked at a residence at East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston.

10:35 a.m. - The manager of Bar M Ranch, Adams, reported a helicopter chasing elk in a canyon northwest of the ranch. The caller said the chase might have begun on their property but had moved farther west. She requested phone contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.

11:42 p.m. - Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired in the area of Cottonwood Bend and Westland roads, near the railroad tracks.

10:08 a.m. - A resident of B&M Manufactured Home Court, 2902 N.E. Riverside Ave., Pendleton, reported a man came to his trailer the previous night and stole his wallet, and the woman with him stole his car.

4:30 p.m. - Umatilla police received a report of a break-in at a building on Sixth Street.

1:17 a.m. - A Stanfield resident reported he sold a couch on Craigslist to a man who overpaid him, then demanded the caller return the overpayment. The bank called it fraud and put a hold on the check. The caller requested a call from Stanfield police.

9:17 a.m. - A Pilot Rock resident on Northwest Alder Drive reported dogs are chasing his sheep and have caught and injured or killed three in the last couple of nights. Pendleton police responded.

11:15 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of cattle thefts from a property on Upper Dry Creek Road and Highway 11, Weston.

11:49 a.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a burglary at a unit of Jay’s Stor-All, 4406 N.W. C Ave.

12:20 p.m. - A resident of Echols Road, Hermiston, reported the theft of a red 2012 Honda 420 quad bike.

12:55 p.m. - Milton-Freewater police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 100 block of Elzora Street.

1:02 p.m. - A resident of West Columbia Lane, Hermiston, requested burglary charges be filed against her daughter’s boyfriend, who broke into her house and stole her dog.

3:03 p.m. - A job site trailer on Stateline Road, Milton-Freewater, was broken into and $10,000 worth of tools stolen sometime Saturday evening. An employee of the company requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.

10:14 p.m. - A caller witnessed a burglary suspect running from Centerville Mini Storage, 100 E. Main St., Athena, with his arms full of items. The suspect left the property in a Jeep. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

•Umatilla Tribal police arrested Tyler Jonathan Hays, 19, address not provided, for two counts of attempt to elude police, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another, third-degree criminal mischief, three felony counts of failure to appear and one count of a felony probation violation. Tribal police also arrested Linsey Chandelle Young, 33, no address provided, on charges of possession of oxycodone, attempt to elude police and second-degree theft, and Salvador Duran Saucedo Jr., 26, no address provided, for attempt to elude police during the same incident. All three were lodged at the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

•Umatilla Tribal police arrested Destiniy May Penland, 26, address not provided, for tampering with physical evidence and possession of heroin.

•Oregon State Police cited Omar M. Resendiz, 20, Boardman, for driving under the influence of controlled substances.
