6:58 a.m. - A caller told Pendleton police it was too early for a man to be cutting down trees at Southwest Fifth Street and Dorion Avenue.

8:48 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about puppies barking all day “at the small purple house” on Birtrand Street, Hermistom. The caller also said the owners are gone during the day.

9:56 a.m. - A resident of Northwest Sixth Street, Pendleton, said his au pair was the victim of a scam and had wired $2,400 to a man both in the U.S. and out of the country. He requested an officer meet them at their bank.

11:54 a.m. - Pendleton police were called to a home on Southeast Alexander Place by DHS after a caseworker reported a man was attempting to strangle his girlfriend in front of their two-year-old child.

12:28 p.m. - A Pendleton resident complained about a neighbor’s tall dry grass and “garbage everywhere” in a back yard on Southeast Sixth Street.

1:41 p.m. - The owner of Five Star Car Wash, E. Elm Ave., Hermiston, reported someone damaged washing equipment and stole some equipment, and that he has videotape of the incident.

2:38 p.m. - Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies were called when a resident of Northeast 10th St, Hermiston, witnessed a male going through her mailbox.

2:54 p.m. - A resident of Tum A Lum Road, Milton-Freewater, asked to speak with a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy regarding the neighbor’s dog coming onto her property and chasing her cats. The caller said it has happened three times over the past 4-5 yrs.

3:22 p.m. - An employee of Drake’s RV, N.W. A Ave., Pendleton, reported a generator stolen from a customer’s RV that had been dropped off for repair. Pendleton police took a theft report.

3:36 p.m. - A Pendleton ambulance crew was called to a residence on Northwest J Avenue, Pendleton, after a dog bit a 10-year-old boy on the head near the left eye.

8:48 p.m. - A woman on Southeast Sixth Street, Pendleton, reported an intoxicated drunk male walked through her back yard and she chased him off. Pendleton police were unable to find the man.

11:01 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of domestic violence on North Juniper Canyon Road, Helix.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dustin Duane Jackson, 39, of 2093 N.W. Eucalyptus Drive, Hermiston, for second-degree theft, two counts of second-degree trespass, two counts of theft by receiving, felon in possession of a weapon and criminal conspiracy.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cody Josiah Winn, 37, of 407 W. Hermiston Ave., Hermiston, for possession of methamphetamine and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

•Oregon State Police arrested Mariano Lara Cisneros, 29, of Milton-Freewater, for possession of methamphetamine and on warrants.
